You want more students to attend your event and we want to increase student involvement.

Penmen Pride is a win-win.

Partnering with Student Government to enable students to be awarded points for attending your event has never been easier. Simply fill out the form below and we'll contact you directly if you're approved or not. Once your event has been approved, we will supply you with the logos to include on your advertisements and we'll take care of the rest!

How do you get your event recognized by Penmen pride?

The Penmen Pride system is simple and applicable to any kind of event. First an organization must fill out the Penmen Pride Application form. This form is used to get contact information, details on what the event is, when, and where the event is, and how it engages students.

After we receive this form we will contact you by email to confirm your event as a Penmen Pride Event. In this email we will also assign your event a point value for how many points the event will be worth. Events can either be 1 point, 2 points, or 3 points. We recommend that you should complete the application form 1 month prior to your event. The latest you can apply for your event to be a Penmen Pride is 2 weeks (14 days) before your event.

What does it mean to be a Penmen Pride Event?

We will provide you with a logo to utilize on your posters (similar to the one at the top of this page, but including the point value). Student Government will be at your event with scanners for students to swipe their IDs as they enter the event. The software then records all of the ID numbers so that we can see who attended the event. If a student attends and swipes their ID at an event that is worth 2 points, then that person will add 2 points to their total. Points are added exclusively to the current semester total, and will not roll over into the next semester.

After we collect all of those ID numbers, we then format the data into an excel sheet where we can analyze it and determine how many points each student has. This is also beneficial to the organization that hosts each event because we can track attendance and use that data for future event planning purposes.

Penmen Pride events are still in total control of the host organization and Penmen Pride is there to help with attendance and promote student involvement. Student Government Association does not intend to advertise or promote our events or recruit at these Penmen Pride events (IT IS YOUR EVENT)!
